That all depends on usage and frequency reporting settings, if the tracker reports every 3 minutes to the service (default ideal settings) it can last approximately 18 hours. Location on demand or “Locate now” function?

If the device is turned on, in a case of emergency you can always send a Locate now command and receive the current location of the tracker.

Longer battery life.

It is always a balance between performance and durability, the same thing like your cell, if you use the GPS on your phone it uses more battery. Same principal with these types of devices. It depends what you want to do, track regularly or less frequent, for example, if we set it to report every 1 hour it will last longer, but the tracking points will be longer apart.

Tracking while moving or not moving.

If the person is not moving, the GPS tracker goes into sleep mode but if the person is constantly moving it will report based on the frequency  configuration set.
